here's how you can get 4 of Brian Tracy's best-selling CDs for the cost of s&h and a copy of his million dollar habits ebook for free

Hey there and good morning,

just found two very cool (and free) resources on Brian Tracy’s website, the first one is a free (well, ok, they ask you to pay for p&p) CD of his 21 success secrets of self-made millionaires which is here:

Click here for your Free CD of 21 Success Secrets of Self Made Millionaires

But here’s the kicker:

when you order Brian’s free CD (yeah, yeah, a few bucks for p&p or s&h depending on your accent), you then get the option to refer 2 friends.

those 2 friends AND YOU then get another free CD in mp3 format as a download (instantly, no p&p/s&h).

choose friendly friends and they might even share those downloads with you…

…. le voila, now you’ve got 4 of Brian Tracy’s best-selling CDs for the price of one lot of p&p/s&h

the free downloads are:

- 21 success secrets of millionaires (which you’ll have as a CD anyway)

- 21 ways to become a sales superstar

- 21 ways to become an outstanding manager

- manage your time and double your productivity

- start and build your own successful business

The Million Dollar Habits (e)Book

the second (even cooler, as there is no p&p;-) resource is his million

dollar habits ebook which you get when you subscribe to his newsletter.

This is all about habits — as you know, it’s not taking ‘massive’ action, but rather consistent action.

And that equals habits. You’ll love the ebook, here is how you get it (sorry, can’t give you a direct link to it, this is how I found it):

Go to this page:

Click here to get Brian Tracy’s Million Dollar Habits eBook

and look at the right hand side, there is an image of his million dollar habits ebook.

Here is one paragraph that really stood out to me:

“To be truly happy, you must make a habit of maintaining balance between your
work and your personal life. The first step in achieving this balance is for you to
resolve to “work all the time you work.” The reason that most people feel that they
are under so much pressure from their work is because they waste most of the
working day. But unfortunately, even if you waste time, the work does not go
away. It still has to be done sometime, and often it has to go home and get done in
the evenings and on the weekends.”

fortunately, he doesn’t leave it at that (if just ‘resolving to do it’ were that easy;-)

and goes on to give you specific steps on how to develop those good habits.

enjoy and please let me know how you get on

Veit

You have been gifted with excellence and you can transform everything you touch through the value you add every day.

What would the world look like

without your contribution?

Seriously, don’t be thinking “I’m just doing the things that need to be done” or “anyone would/could have done

It is your purpose to bring massive transformation in the area of your gift — and I’m challenging you to do exactly that with the absolute best of your ability.

Veit

PS: this was inspired by witnessing the most beautiful rise of a full moon of my life last night. And as it was rising up over the forest through the wispy clouds, I realised how rarely we all stop to just look at and take in the beauty around us …

… and (when my 6-year old pulled me out of my trance by asking me “daddy, why are you a statue?”) that it is our mission to share all the beauty we carry inside as far as possible.

go and share!

amongst many other things, you’ll learn about

- the value of leading at a distance (even if that’s leading yourself)
- the big impact of outcome vs activity focus
- the key question you must ask before embarking on any activity
- the 4 lists you must use to operate effectively
- the key planning/thinking areas for which you must take time every week
- the number #1 warning sign for procrastination
- how to learn and take action like a champion

Warning: the advice is coming fast and furious, so have pen and paper ready to take notes. In particular look out for the advice how to use the power of your subconscious mind to put newly learned information into action.

Please leave a comment below and tell us which specific bit of information you not only learned but also found a way to put it into practice.

One of the things you’ll find in the recording is the value of having a WHY that goes way beyond yourself. Both Mark and I are heavily ‘legacy’ oriented and would like to ask for your support:

if you decide to buy in one of Mark’s books, please support our cause by buying through the amazon-links below, every cent or penny will go to a leadership-oriented charity in a developing country.

If you send me your amazon-receipt at the following email:

selfemployedtraininglab AT googlemail DOT com

I will then send you a mindmap of the call so you can easily reference everything you’ve just learned.

Enjoy

Veit

Most small business owners start out with high hopes and great intentions—to do something they truly love to do and make a living doing it.

But then reality steps in.

They discover

Small Business Growth Is At The Bottom Of Their To-Do List

because it’s already so jam-packed with all of the things they must do in a day or a week—just trying to keep their business afloat.

And while they dreamed of being self-employed, they never realized how stressed out they’d be just working to make ends meet, worrying about cash flow, and wishing they could spend more quality time with their families.

After all, wasn’t that one of the goals at the beginning, too?

So the focus on growth ends up totally neglected.

And that, obviously, prevents them from being able to grow their business.

But perhaps, if you are in a similar situation, and you knew what NOT to do if you want to grow your business, your opportunities for small business growth could expand.

If You Are Self-Employed And Want To Grow Your Business, here are 17 Tips on

How To Run A Small Business (If You Are After Business Growth!)

Never stop thinking about marketing! (And the definition of marketing is: how to get your business from the level where it is at right now to the next level of profitability.)

Always think strategy: How can you make your business sustainable and scalable?

Don’t be afraid to delegate. To grow your business, you cannot do everything yourself.

Know the difference between being a small business and being self-employed. Self-employed is you working for yourself. A small business needs to grow and develop.

Develop your own strategy to:

Get new clients in the door,

grow your business relationship with that client continually by offering the best products and services around, and

do unexpected things to let your clients know how important they are to you.
This will keep your business in a mode of steady growth. This is your ideal.

Learn to measure your return on investment (ROI) for everything you do—particularly advertising or other efforts to get and keep new and existing clients.

Develop a model for attracting new clients, and then measure against it to rate it’s success—not only in the number of clients garnered but the dollars those clients generate for your business. Tweak it as necessary and continue to measure the effects of your adjustments.

Learn how online social networks can be a vital party of your marketing campaign—and then use them. (Don’t forget to measure the results.)

Learn what NOT to do that turns potential customers off (i.e., spam, always plugging yourself on the social networks, etc.) and then don’t do it.

Learn to focus your time. Do NOT multitask. Instead, work in focused chunks of time to get more done!

Position yourself as an expert in your area and charge accordingly.

Tell clients WHY they should come to you and tell them WHY about everything you do.

Remember that everything is about your client’s needs and desires—and act accordingly.

Educate your clients and potential clients about how you can help them achieve what they need and desire.

Provide a 100 percent money back guarantee to all your clients. Build trust.

Create backend informational products that can generate passive income for your business.

Implement new ideas ASAP.

The keys to small business growth are relatively simple and can take you from being “self-employed” to managing your small business and doing what you love most. But only if you implement them!

As always, if you have any other questions I can answer for you, please leave me a comment and I’ll answer them as soon as I can

How To Create Value (And Charge For It) In The Eyes Of The Prospect

[warning: this only works if you really have something of value!]

Recently got involved on Twitter (it should be pretty obvious that I’m only using this as an analogy, what I’m talking about here is pretty much true in every arena of business, whether you’re self-employed, have a home-based business or even work in a big corporation) and the interesting thing is:

The majority of tweeters appear to fall into three categories

1) they either want to ensure that I have white teeth and get it done for only $5… (and as they know nothing about my teeth it can only be a statistical fluke that, yes, I could probably have whiter teeth. Then again, do I really want to look like Tom Cruise?)

… or …

2) they have discovered the sure-fire way of attracting tons of followers on Twitter (at least this is targeted, as there are so many people pitching their tooth-withening miracles, they probably need tons of followers (read: audience with dodgy teeth) Note: if you discover a way of attracting tons of followers with yellow teeth, now we’re talking)

… or …

3) they are (or at least have access to) the world’s leading experts in growing my business, getting tons of leads and making me rich …. all with the power of a teaspoon, no real skills and absolutely no work required.

Nice.

Appealing to our instincts (no effort, no skill, no time required).

And unlikely to deliver.

Which brings me to the retired policemen, a story my friend Bob shared with me a few years ago:

Bob is a photographer. He started his career as a commercial photographer, specializing in cars. And cars are like massive mirrors, so you have to get absolutely everthing right. And Bob did, and won tons of national awards for it (Bob, if I’m forgetting international awards, please forgive me).

And when Bob got fed up photographing cars, he got into wedding photography.

Like everybody else, he was charging around 500 (the unit is GBP, but that’s pretty much irrelevant these days, as Euro, GBP or US-$ are all pretty much interchangeable…) per wedding. And life was just about ok.

But then, with the advent of digital cameras, the problem started: it seemed like upon retirement, every single policeman was presented with a digital SLR as a farewell present.

And what did they do? Set themselves up as wedding photographers. Not exactly a teaspoon, but rather a digital SLR, but certainly no ‘real’ skills and not the years of hard graft put in learning how to capture the real moment (in the world’s biggest and most unforgiving mirror). And charging $/GBP/Euro 500 for it.

And so the bottom fell out of his market. (incidentally, those getting married weren’t better off due to the market pressure either: now they had no idea where to turn, who would really deliver the goods)

Fortunately, there is a happy ending (and a great lesson for everyone reading this): Bob simply increased his fee significantly (we’re talking close to adding a zero to the end of the amount he — and all the retired policmen — were charging beforehand) AND insisted that either the couple be extremely photogenic and/or the location be outstanding. We’re talking castles, posh hotels, country estates etc.

His exact words were:

You Are Only As Good As Your Last Job

and he made sure that every single ‘last’ job was simply outstanding. The paradox is: he could only get these jobs by charging more.

thoughts? Please let me know!

Veit

PS: this is Bob’s website, very good stuff. Must marry my wife again and get Bob to take pictures this time:

In this training Veit and Chris share a few tips for job interviews:

Most people are concerned with how to answer job interview questions.

But really what they’re forgetting is the part where they are supposed to impress the interviewer by asking intelligent questions.

So, in this audio-training, discover specifically which questions to ask at a job interview to first and foremost find out what they stand for and whether they really walk the talk.

(but also to stand out from the crowd by asking, yes you guessed it, intelligent questions)

And then you use their answers to decide whether that matches what you stand for. Because if it doesn’t, you’re better off going elsewhere (and you’ll find out exactly why)

Please leave a comment and let us know what you think, what works for you and what you think we could improve.

Cheers

Veit

This is part of a 7-part series, if you’d like to hear the rest, please leave a comment and we’ll get you the rest.

Far too many people abuse Twitter to pitch their business opportunities and as a result land themselves in the NFL (no friends left). Is the underlying reason the same why so many small business owners struggle? Find out why a little consultative selling training should do the trick.

As you may have noticed from my some of my other posts (and certainly my “ranting” over at Twitter (@VeitSchenk), I’m all against being pitched constantly.

a) it annoys the heck out of everyone (just think of going to a party “hello my name is Marty and I want to sell you some Tupperware”. Are you going to stick around. No, more likely you’ll discover that you urgently need to wash your hair)

b) it puts all of the pitchers quickly into the NFL (no friends left). Which also explains why so many network marketers mostly hang out with, well, you guessed it, other network marketers. Because noone else wants to talk to them anymore.

So far, so obvious.

But here is my thought of the day:

Wouldn’t we all be better off if we showed the pitchers how to pitch properly?

Let me explain:

my assumptions are this: the blatant pitchers

a) are normal people like you and me. They probably have a family, (some;-) friends and have similar feelings, dreams and desires as the rest of us.

b) want to earn some extra cash (to support those dreams, desires and 4 hungry kids) and

c) they simply don’t know any better way than, well, pitch. Thinking: hey, I’ll just find a large following (jeez, why do 50% of followers pitch me with the VERY FIRST FRIGGIN’ message: “hey, I’ve just found this awesome tool that helps you find a gazillion pitchers over night….”), pitch some stuff to them and I’ll make some money.

Whilst it may sound a little condescending, but here’s the deal:

I work a lot with small businesses as a small business coach and sales trainer. And guess what?

The majority of small business owners haven’t got a clue.

They don’t know how to welcome a stranger into their shop (yes, we’re still stuck on “can I help you” followed by “no thanks, I’m just browsing” followed by resignation followed by a huge loss of opportunity to bond with another person and fulfill their needs. More on that another time)

They’re still trying to sell instead of consult (ask the client first before offering what they’ve got. The worst example I’ve got is the sales people for newspapers: storm into any small shop “hey, would you like to buy an ad in our paper” No questions asked. All to often, no business made either)

And they’re still thinking from their perspective (”hey, this is what I’ve got” as opposed to “hey, that’s what my clients want” — and then they wonder that most of their coupons in the papers don’t work). Trust me, sad but all to common. About 97% common.

So, my guess is that most of those who make Twitter more and more into a place where I have to be rude and unfollow people very quickly are simply representative of most other small business owners:

Pitchers are simply lacking a basic sales education.

Hey, don’t get me wrong, I’m not against using social media as a marketing medium, as long as it comes from a position of wanting to add value to other people’s lives and using a consultative approach where I first find out what others want before pitching my own stuff.

So, if this is the case, the big question then is:

How can we get them to see the/our light without being arrogant?

(”hey, we know it better” high-horse riders (wanting to keep this post PG))

Because, ultimately, if everyone took on a consultative selling approach, Twitter would be much more a place of contribution and questions instead of, well, uninvited pitching.

And as a side-benefit, the pitchers would probably make much more money in the long-term.

Please share your thoughts
